Our company, founded by H. Hatem in Istanbul in 1945, started its activities in the hardware sector with the distribution of hand tools and in the metal industry with machine tool distribution.

Since 1974, our company, maintaining the same partnership structure with Albert Hatem and Leon Badi, took the name UMTAŞ Uluslararası Makina Ticaret A.Ş starting from 1988, due to continuous development and growth. UMTAŞ continued its activities by focusing more on trade, government and municipal tenders, and representing and distributing products for leading multinational and/or international companies in the industry and sector.

UMTAŞ’s activities are carried out by a team of thirty individuals, the majority of whom are engineers, working in coordination in various departments.
